Tommy Larkin has been nominated for the Generation Apprenticeship Workplace Champion Award 2024
We are thrilled to announce that Tommy Larkin, Logistics Manager from PHD has been nominated for the Generation Apprenticeship Workplace Champion Award 2024. This Award nomination recognises Tommy’s exceptional commitment to promoting and supporting apprentices within the workplace, helping to shape the future of skilled workers in Ireland. The winner of the Generation Apprenticeship Workplace Champion Award 2024 will be announced at an event on 5th December in Stillorgan.

When asked about how Tommy is feeling on this great achievement, Tommy remarked:
I am delighted to have been nominated for this, I was so proud when our first apprentices graduated. Scaffolding will see great benefits with this training.
This award highlights individuals who have gone above and beyond in fostering a positive learning environment for apprentices. Tommy’s contributions, alongside PHD’s dedication to apprenticeship development, exemplify the leadership and mentorship this award seeks to honour.

Generation Apprenticeship
The Generation Apprenticeship programme in Ireland is overseen by SOLAS, Ireland’s Further Education and Training (FET). The programme partners with employers, trade unions and education providers, with strong backing from the Government of Ireland through the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation, and Science.

Our Apprenticeship Scheme
Our two-year Apprenticeship Scheme will offer participants to learn terminology, familiarise themselves with equipment, and gain valuable industry experience on site, whilst attaining the nationally recognised QQI Level 5 Certificate in Scaffolding.
