PHD Access is a proud family-owned company that has been making strides since its establishment in 2001 in Ireland by founder Bernard Dwyer, a native of Sligo. After 17 prosperous years in the UK, PHD has solidified its position as a leader in the industry, undertaking significant high-end international projects.
Building on this success, Bernard’s sons, Danny and Sean, have assumed leadership roles within the company, with Sean managing the Ireland and International sectors while Danny overseeing operations in the UK. Despite its global reach, PHD Access remains deeply rooted in its Irish identity, priding itself on its global expertise while maintaining a strong connection to its origins in Sligo.
International Presence
Looking to the future, PHD aims to enhance customer service by expanding its presence in Denmark, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and Sweden, further solidifying its position as a global leader in access solutions.
What We Do
We provide the industry with bespoke access solutions including temporary roofs, specialist rope access and hoists, producing challenging engineered ideas with innovative techniques. Our proactive health and safety ethos maintains a controlled and managed approach to work at height.

Apprenticeship Scheme
Our two-year Apprenticeship Scheme will offer participants to learn terminology, familiarise themselves with equipment, and gain valuable industry experience on site, whilst attaining the nationally recognised QQI Level 5 Certificate in Scaffolding.
