In 2019, our client, a world-leading Semiconductor Manufacturer, began work on the largest construction projects in Europe at its campus in Leixlip, Co. Kildare.
strict protocols
This project presented many challenges as there were strict protocols to follow and many stakeholders to collaborate with.
Large amounts of work were carried out within ‘Clean Room category Level 4’ where risk controls were vigorously measured and monitored to ensure the highest levels of compliance.
Our team had to take due cautious working around extremely hazardous chemicals, delivering this safely and importantly with zero interruptions to production.
To expedite the works, and minimise the manhours on site, the decks were cleaned and vacuum packed off-site.
Modulation
During the main fit-out and insulation element of the M&E works for the mechanical and electrical contractors, site limitations provided a challenge: congestion, and time constraints.
PHD provided an off-site solution, modularising decks which were then transferred to site, out of working hours, in 15m x 3m modules and craned into position at night, positively affecting the critical path.
